About Us
Village Collective is a dynamic, member-driven community designed to help residents 50+ in Coppell age with independence, connection, and dignity. More than just a service, it’s a network of neighbors supporting neighbors—offering social activities, volunteer assistance, and access to trusted resources. Shaped by the unique needs and strengths of its members, the Village fosters a close-knit environment where aging is empowering, not isolating.
By building deep connections and a culture of care, Village Collective transforms aging into a shared journey—one filled with purpose, community, and peace of mind.
How we Started
The City of Coppell’s Vision 2040 Plan identifies seven strategic pillars to guide the city’s long-term growth and well-being. One of those pillars—Future Oriented Approach to Residential Development (FOARD)—focuses on creating sustainable and inclusive living environments for all ages.
In response to this vision, the FOARD Task Force was established by the Coppell City Council to explore actionable strategies that align with these goals.
One key recommendation from the Task Force was the creation of the Coppell Village Collective, a community-based initiative designed to help Coppell residents aged 50 and older age in place—safely, independently, and comfortably in their own homes and neighborhoods.
To bring this vision to life, the City of Coppell initiated development of the Village in earnest in August 2024, when the first Village Coordinator was hired. Since then, we’ve laid the groundwork by:
Researching national models like the Village to Village Network
Engaging with local stakeholders, seniors, and community partners
Conducting surveys to assess needs and priorities
Designing member programs and services tailored to Coppell residents
The Village Collective is the result of a collaborative, future-focused approach that combines city leadership, community insight, and grassroots energy to support residents as they age.

Two-Fold Connection
1. Social Events
Our goal is to foster a sense of belonging through a flexible, low-pressure approach to community engagement. We support social connections in several ways:
Host and sponsor events like educational talks, game nights, group outings, and seasonal celebrations.
Organize carpools to local events, making it easier for members to attend and enjoy them together.
Promote existing community events—even if we’re not organizing them—by sharing information and encouraging members to join in.
Create informal meetups based on shared interests, like walking groups, book clubs, or lunch outings.

Village Collective also provides practical support to help members thrive in their homes and community:
Friendly check-in calls or visits to reduce isolation and build personal connections.
Tech help for things like using smartphones, video calls, or setting up devices.
Resource navigation to help members find local services, from transportation to home maintenance.
Volunteer support for small tasks around the house or errands.
Referral network connecting members with trusted service providers and community partners.
Seasonal or pop-up services such as fall prevention workshops, document shredding, or home safety checks.

Whether it’s transportation to a doctor’s appointment, help with small home tasks, or simply gathering for a community coffee, the Village is here to make daily life easier and more connected.
