At Village Collective, our dedicated volunteers help members stay safe, healthy, and connected. We offer a range of supportive services designed to make aging in place more manageable and enjoyable. Whether you need a ride to a doctor’s appointment or just a friendly check-in, we’re here to help.

Volunteer services are free to members of Village Collective.


Available Services

Light Home Help
Volunteers can assist with small tasks around the house such as changing lightbulbs, taking out trash, tidying up, watering plants, and other light chores that can make a big difference in daily comfort.

Wellness Checks
Whether in person or by phone, volunteers provide friendly check-ins to ensure members are doing well and feel connected. These wellness calls are an important way to monitor safety and reduce isolation.

Need more than what volunteers can provide? We offer personalized referrals to trusted community resources and service providers—everything from home repair and legal aid to meal delivery and social services.

Transportation Assistance
Volunteers can provide rides to medical appointments, grocery stores, or local events. Transportation must be requested at least 5 business days in advance and is subject to volunteer availability.

How It Works

1. Submit a Request
Village Collective members can request volunteer services by calling our office, submitting an online form, or emailing us directly. Once received, requests are shared with our pool of trained volunteers, who may choose to accept based on their availability and interests. While we do our best to facilitate connections, fulfillment is not guaranteed. If you are a current member and wish to submit a request, please Click Here to get started.
 

2. Scheduling
We recommend that you submit service requests at least 3–5 business days in advance to allow time for volunteers to view and choose requests. Because all services depend on volunteer interest and availability, we cannot guarantee fulfillment. Urgent or last-minute needs will be shared with volunteers, but may not be picked up in time. If your request is not picked-up, you are welcome to submit the same request up to (3) more times. 
 

3. Volunteer Matching
If a volunteer selects your request, you’ll receive a confirmation with the volunteer’s name, as well as the scheduled date and time of the visit or call. Please note that confirmation only occurs after a volunteer has chosen to fulfill your request.
 

4. Service Delivery
Volunteers who choose to assist arrive prepared, courteous, and respectful of your time and space. All volunteers have undergone background checks and training to ensure they can safely and thoughtfully support members. Please remember that volunteers are not professional caregivers and are offering their time on a goodwill basis.


Important Note 

All volunteer services are provided based on the availability and interest of our volunteers. To honor their flexibility, service requests are posted on a virtual “bulletin board,” and volunteers choose which tasks they’d like to fulfill. Village Collective does not assign volunteers or mandate fulfillment of any requests—we simply provide the platform to connect members with willing volunteers.

Because of this, we cannot guarantee that any specific request will be fulfilled. If your request is not picked up, you are welcome to resubmit it up to three (3) times.

Please also note that Village Collective is not a caregiving agency and does not provide 24-hour care, medical assistance, emergency response, or ongoing personal assistance. Volunteer services are designed to supplement—not replace—a comprehensive care plan. Frequency and consistency of service may vary and should not be relied upon for critical or time-sensitive needs.
